Ms.
Severino graduated from Alderson-Broaddus College, Philippi, WV,
in 1991 with a B.S. in Business Administration and a minor in
Writing. Ms. Severino received the Business Administration and
Economics Academic Award and two student leadership awards. She
was the recipient of the Emma Alderson Scholarship, a CSX scholarship
and an Alderson-Broaddus Leadership Scholarship.
Ms. Severino has been employed by Busch, Zurbuch & Thompson, PLLC,
since 1991. She received her certified paralegal designation
by examination in May 1994. Ms. Severino is a member of
the Association of West Virginia Paralegals, Inc. and a paralegal
member of Defense Trial Counsel. She served two terms as
the Region III Director of the Association of West Virginia Paralegals,
Inc. and has co-authored an article on the effective use of paralegals
for publication in "The West Virginia Lawyer." She has been
a speaker at Region III paralegal meetings regarding the paralegal's
role during jury selection and the effective use of trial exhibits
and has participated as a speaker at a West Virginia State
Bar regional meeting on “The Special Relationship Between Lawyers
and Legal Assistants/Paralegals.” Ms. Severino is involved
in all areas of case development.
